This is an unfortunate case in which two public officials, a circuit court Judge and a city chief of police, failed to properly exercise their duties. While each saw the speck in the others eye, each failed to see the log in his own. It is our responsibility to determine whether the Judge should be subject to discipline. Under the unique facts of the case, we find that the Judge was guilty of misconduct in his official duties and should be suspended from office without pay for thirty days.
